- 1 Cup Loubier Gourmet’s Hot or Mild BBQ Sauce
- 10 Chicken Drumsticks and/or Thighs
- 3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- ½ Cup Finely Chopped Onion
Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir onion in hot oil until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir Loubier Gourmet’s Hot or Mild BBQ Sauce into onions; bring to a simmer and cook until flavors blend, about 10 minutes.
Preheat grill to medium heat and brush grate with oil. Remove chicken from bag; discard marinade.
Cook chicken on the preheated grill until lightly browned on all sides, about 5 minutes per side.
Turn off one of the grill burners, move the coals, or move the chicken so there is no heat source directly below it.
Cover drumsticks or thighs with the sauce (save ⅓ of the sauce for later) and cook for another 15 minutes; turn again and cover chicken with sauce. Continue to grill drumsticks or thighs until an instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
Remove drumsticks and/or thighs from the grill and brush with remaining Loubier Gourmet BBQ Sauce an extra savory flavor.
