From Heartbreak to Purpose: The Inspiring Journey of Michael Loubier.
When Michael Loubier moved to Oakland, CA, he never expected barbecue to change his life. As a loyal customer of a small takeout BBQ joint, he fell in love with the bold flavors and the sense of community it created.
Recognizing his passion, the owner asked Michael to open a second location, launching his journey into the BBQ world. The restaurant thrived until a city construction project cut off access, forcing its closure and leaving Michael’s dreams in ruins. Soon after, tragedy struck again as both of his parents passed away from cancer in a short span.
Struggling with grief, Michael uncovered a hard truth: harmful additives in food and environmental factors may have contributed to their illnesses.
Determined to honor his parents and make a difference, Michael founded Loubier Gourmet. Using the recipes perfected in his restaurant, he created organic, non-GMO BBQ sauces and seasonings free from harmful additives—ensuring people could enjoy rich, smoky flavors without compromising their health.
