Why You Need Premium Sauces in Your Pantry

They say life without flavor is not worth living, but what if I told you most companies are compromising your health for flavor. Nowadays, too many brands are getting away with including junky artificial ingredients in their products.

Unfortunately, this includes most big brand names that we all grew up with, we just didn't know any better, or in my case, would sacrifice a small financial gain for my health.

This is why we came up with Loubier Gourmet. Years ago, Michael Loubier experienced a tragic loss, and it led him to realize the importance of consuming quality foods. He then looked through his recipes that he had once created when he had a BBQ restaurant, and remembered how much his customers loved his BBQ Sauces and Rubs. Since they were all made with natural ingredients, he knew he had to get them on the store shelves.

Now, we're in 500+ retail stores and have an expansive audience online as well.

Loubier Gourmet was essentially created by chefs for the people. We're talking about quality, amazing-tasting products that can enhance the flavor of any meal, without compromising one's health.

5 Artificial Additives That Can Be Found in the Most Popular BBQ Sauce

High Fructose Corn Syrup

High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) can be found in a candy, sodas, fast foods, sauces and condiments, and so much more. The fact that it is so cheap to attain gives people a reason to use it as a sweetener. But, for starters, HFCS adds an unhealthy amount of fructose to your body. It can increase your risk of fatty liver disease. It can increase your risk of obesity and liver gain, and is one of the main reasons for it in the United States. An excessive intake of it can lead to diabetes. And, lastly, it can seriously increase the risk of other diseases like cancer because of its correlation with inflammation. Overall, it is not an ingredient you want to put in your body.

Even Whole Foods has banned HFCS and Sodium Benzoate which we will be speaking about in the following paragraph.

Sodium Benzoate

Sodium Benzoate is a preservative that can be deemed just as bad as HFCS. Even though it is found in cosmetic, personal care, and industrial products, it's mainly used for food products to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria, mold, and other microbes. The reason why it's bad is because it converts to a potential cancer agent, it causes inflammation, it is linked with ADHD, and it is linked to the creation of free radicals that can lead to cell damage.

Unfortunately, America's favorite BBQ Sauce, Sweet Baby Ray's, contains both High Fructose Corn Syrup and Sodium Benzoate. This is why we have created the BBQ Sauces we have. America has needed an amazing tasting BBQ Sauce made with all natural ingredients!

Artificial Flavors

By this point I'm sure you can tell that anything artificial is most likely hazardous to living beings. I have to admit, there are artificial ingredients that aren't all too bad for you, but it makes one wonder why the FDA still tends to limit these ingredients.

In this case, artificial flavors can lead to risking your gut health, weight gain, and even cancer. Unfortunately, for most people, it is almost impossible to avoid artificial flavors, and luckily, people don't have to avoid them completely, but it would be really wise to limit them and avoid them when you can.

Caramel Color

Carmel color is the single most used food coloring in the world and is found in most soft drinks and can be also found in food products like BBQ Sauces. Unfortunately, caramel color contains 4-methylimidazole (4-Mel) which can be possibly carcinogenic. California even requires product labels to include a cancer warning if it exposes consumers to more than 29 micrograms of 4-Mel per day.

Corn Syrup

Even though Corn Syrup sounds really similar to High Fructose Corn Syrup, they are highly different products. To give a brief explanation, regular corn syrup is 100% glucose while high fructose corn syrup has some of its glucose converted to fructose. Corn Syrup like sugars, elevates insulin levels which can be found as a primary factor in cancer, heart disease, diabetes, aging, arthritis, and osteoporosis. At the end of the day either corn syrups are not good for you. Now imagine how bad BBQ Sauces like Sweet Baby Rays are for you when they contain both High Fructose Corn Syrup and Regular Corn Syrup.
